Acupuncture

Acupuncture is one of the oldest continuously practiced recorded medical system in the world. Acupuncture uses sterile, hair-thin needles which are inserted into specific anatomical points of the body to activate the bodies natural self healing mechanisms. This stimulation increases the production of endorphins and activates the endocrine and immune system.

Since then her skills and confidence have evolved to the point where she’s comfortable doing a variety of pressure and modalities such as generalized deep tissue, relaxation, sport massage, rapid adhesion release and cupping.

Jody graduated from MH Vicars School of Massage Therapy in 2017. Having a successful career of over 24 years in dental, she decided to return to school to take Registered Massage Therapy for “Fun” and absolutely fell in love with the profession! Carley graduated from Grant MacEwan in 2012 with 2200 hours of study in massage therapy. Eager to expand her alternative medicine knowledge, she completed the acupuncture program at MacEwan in June, 2018.

Carley treats a wide range of age groups and conditions, including anxiety, insomnia, tendinitis, arthritis, sciatica, headaches/migraines and pain in general. Carley is currently expanding her knowledge in women’s health and fertility with a variety of courses.

Having nearly 12 years of massage therapy experience, Carley is able to incorporate both palpation skills and Chinese medicine knowledge into her treatments.

Cathy completed her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in 2008, followed by her Doctor of Chiropractic in 2013. She has been a practicing Chiropractor in the Edmonton area for over 10 years. Through her practice she saw the relationship between structure and function, and how the body operates as a whole.
